Cathedral at Bayeux

Our turnaround point on the first day was Bayeux. This is a picture of the Cathedral. This Cathedral houses the famous Bayeux tapestry. The tapestry is a 50 cm by 70 m (20 in by 230 ft) long embroidered cloth which depicts the events leading up to the 1066 Norman invasion of England as well as the events of the invasion itself. Since we were in cycling kit and it takes about 2 hours to view it, we just passed by.
